Starting at age 2 through age 10

Our Glen Burnie location offers three programs. Our Cubs room (ages 2–3) and Bears room (ages 4–5) both utilize an MSDE-approved curriculum. We also have a Grizzly room for school-age children, which includes before- and after-school care and a summer program.

We are open Monday through Friday, 6:30 AM – 6:00 PM (closed on major holidays).

Joy in Learning accepts CCS Scholarships and Child Care Aware.

We use the Experience Curriculum for our Cubs (ages 2–3) and the MSDE-certified Frog Street program for our Bears (ages 4–5). Our Grizzly school-age program incorporates enrichment activities.

A typical day includes open play, circle time, snacks (twice daily), outdoor play (twice daily), arts & crafts, lunch, and naptime.

Parents of Cubs (ages 2–3) and Bears (ages 4–5) should provide lunch, a change of clothes, and bedding (fitted sheet and blanket) for naptime. Diapers are required for children who are not yet potty-trained.

All teachers are certified for their specific age groups and hold current CPR and First Aid certifications. Staff complete annual training to stay updated on the latest child care practices.

We take all allergies very seriously. Please note that we are currently not a peanut-free facility.

We use Brightwheel, an online application, to manage billing and share direct updates, events, and monthly newsletters with parents.
